Tough Sunday for our girl

The doctor called today to tell us that Kate has an infection and they had to giver her a blood transfusion. She is now on a respirator and had to have a sample of spinal fluid taken to help determine what type of infection she has. The doctor thinks that it may be from the pic line I.V. in her leg. This apparently is common. This afternoon the nurse said that Kate was sleeping comfortably now. Our girl had a long day. We hope that tomorrow is better!
